Mini Tummy Tuck (Mini Abdominoplasty)

Mini abdominoplasty differs from a more extensive abdominoplasty in the following ways:

• The belly button remains in place (unlike in extensive surgery, where the belly button may be repositioned, in mini abdominoplasty, the belly button remains in its original position).
• A small amount of fat is excised (the procedure is limited to removing a small amount of fat and does not involve removal of the apron of skin and fat characteristic of a more extensive operation).
• Less noticeable incisions and scars (due to the smaller scale of the intervention and the size of the incisions, scars from mini abdominoplasty are usually less noticeable).
• Shorter duration of the operation (compared to extensive abdominoplasty, mini abdominoplasty typically requires less time to perform).
• Possibility of using local anesthesia (due to its less invasive nature and more limited scope, mini abdominoplasty can be performed using local anesthesia, which may be preferable for some patients).
