Primary rhinoplasty focuses on changing the shape and size of the external part of the nose that protrudes above the surface of the central part of the face, known as the nasal pyramid. Unlike revision rhinoplasty, which is performed to correct the results of previous nose surgeries, primary rhinoplasty is carried out on patients who have not undergone prior nasal surgeries.
The main goal of primary rhinoplasty is to achieve a harmonious and natural appearance of the nose, taking into account the individual characteristics of each patient.
Revision rhinoplasty, on the other hand, is a surgical procedure performed on a nose that has previously undergone surgery with the aim of correcting or improving the results of the previous surgical intervention. Unlike primary rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty is often complicated by the presence of scars and changes that can make the operation more challenging due to alterations in the nasal anatomical structure and limited resources for correction.
Such surgeries require special experience and skill from the surgeon, as well as more careful planning and an individualized approach to each case.
